DAVe's
art |
But who is DAVe you
ask? DAVe Warnke is a local San Francisco "graffiti"
artist, but not in the normal Crylon sense of the word.
His art can be found on
walls, street signs, lamp posts,
and phone booths all over the city, but it's
more like happy children's art than "mad flow skilz".
If you are interested in DAve's stuff, you should check
out his website at http://www.davewarnke.com.
But DAVe doesn't just hit up stop signs. You can also
buy his stuff from art galleries around San Francisco
or online at places like http://www.davegear.com.
The San Francisco Chronicle even did an article
on DAVe a while back. That's where we stole the
great photo of DAVe at night from.

Improvisor Spelling Awareness Bracelets
$5 - Available at
Shows
The spelling debate that has ravaged society for years:
improvisor vs. improviser.
Every dollar from the sale of this bracelet will go towards
helping educate people on the correct spelling of this oft
fought over word. Please wear this bracelet as a sign of your
support for the peaceful correct spelling of improvisor, to
raise awareness of our cause, and help educate the public
on the correct spelling of a word whose misspelling has torn
communities apart, destroyed families, and leveled societies.
'-or' and '-er' are noun suffixes denoting
an agent or doer; as in auditor, one who hears; donor, one
who gives; obligor; elevator. It is correlative to '-ee'.
In general '-or' is appended to words of Latin, and '-er'
to those of English, origin.
French 'improvisor', from Italian 'improvvisare',
from 'improvviso', unforeseen, from Latin 'imprvisus' : in-,
not; see in+ 'provisus', past participle of 'providere', to
foresee.
Therefore, to 'improvise', from the Latin
'improvidus', would thus dictate the use of the Latin '-or'
suffix, and thus make those who practice the art of improvisation…
improvisors!
(all bracelets are matte-black rubber
and made in the USA)
