Starbucks?

Here's a quote from my last Grande Soy Chai cup:

The Way I See It #76

The irony of commitment is that it's deeply liberating -- in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.

<align="center">-- Anne Morris
Starbucks customer from New York City. She describes herself as an "organization builder, restless American citizen, optimist."

Completely applicable to improv, acting, and creativity in general.

Nice work, Anne Morris. And Starbucks.

Tim Burton's Next Big Hit?

Saw Tim Burton's "Sweeney Todd" last week finally, at our neighborhood speakeasy. Gosh, what a lot of blood-spewing cut throats. (As opposed to Pirates of the Caribbean 3's lot of one-liner-spewing cutthroats...)

Anyway, then we watched the remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the other night [note: is it a "remake" if it has a different name? The old one was called "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory". I guess he'd call it a "re-imagining" like he did with the craptastic Planet of the Apes remake. Ugh. Give me Charlton Heston any day. Oh God, did I just say that? I think what I meant was, "Give me Charlton Heston any day in which dystopian future Earths are ruled by apes. Any other day, keep his paws off me (you damned dirty apes)."

Right. So I saw those two movies in close temporal proximity (look at me with the big words today!) and came up with the following:

Un-Scripted Blogs!

Guess what? The Un-Scripted Theater Company now has blogs!

Company members can now create blogs and share their thoughts with the world, and you can let us know what you think! Sort of a two-way conversation. Nice!
